CLA maybe? Dark on left side

I'm not sure where to ask this. But I just noticed today, the left part of several frames but not all from a roll today are dark on the left side. I can't explain it. The two photos below were with different lenses. Has anyone seen this before? Does the M6 need a CLA or something?

See how the left is much darker than the rest. That can't be normal right?

Ah, It JUST occurred to me that I think those were both made a 1000th. I think the 1000th on my 6 is retarded

You have what is called "shutter capping" which is where one of the shutter curtains is overtaking the other (most common at high speeds). And yes, your shutter needs to be readjusted.

Likely not time consuming, expensive depends on the repairer. Access is very simple - the internal bottom cover needs to be removed, camera put on a shutter tester and curtain tension adjusted until it is right. Leica M's are beautifully designed for this type of routine maintenance.
