I need to do this, but hesitate to open up the Visoflex III. Just unscrewing the two screws that seem the obvious screws that fix the groundglass doesn't work. Everything still seems fixed together as if the screws could've been missed. Anyone??

There are 2 alignment pins holding the cover in place. What you will need to do is using a thin blade carefully work it in between the mating surface to separate the 2 surfaces. Be sure to do this all the way around evenly. Don't lose the 2 ball bearings and springs which will fall out.

You should also clean out the pin holes and pins so it will go back together easy.

Also when re-assembling place the gg with the smooth (glossy) side up.

I remember when I cleaned the focusing screen in my Rolleicord I did it with a strong water based solvent ... then rinsed it in clean warm water and let it dry in the sun without touching it with anything. The instant you rub it with a rag or anything for that matter it detracts from the matt surface and it absorbs less light!

Thanks Colyn, Keith! That's so great about this forum. Even on the most specific questions you get an answer in 20 minutes! I'm going to try cleaning it this evening.
