Collapsible Industar for BT?

I am a new member at RFF, although I've been visiting a lot for a while. I am not owning any CV equipment yet, but is planning to by a small set soon. I am currently using my fathers Nikon S2 which I like a lot, although it is rather heavy and the controls are not very fast, at least not in my hands. That's why I am lurking around in this forum, wanting to update the equipment to 21st century standards, ie. a light meter and a single shutter speed dial. Now to my question. I saw a collapsible Industar 22 (50/3.5) at Ebay and thought it might work as a truly economical companion for a pocketable Bessa T. Has anyone tried the combination? Is the lens fully collapsible into a Bessa body (and is it focusing all right?). I dont expect it to be as sharp as my Nikkor 50/1.4 but I think I can live with that (...for a while).

The collapsible I-22 doesn't go fully into the Bessas. The lens itself is quite OK, though an Industar 61 L/D is already much better IMO. The Jupiter-8 is probably the best Russian 50mm lens in LTM thread.

You can get an I-22 for a few $$, but if I were you I'd spent $10-25 on a FED2 with the I-22. That way you'l have a very cheap and very nice rangefinder camera AND a nice lens.

Buying off eBay can be a little tricky but if you stick to sellers like Fedka you'll be fine. Their prices are a little higher but they deliver what they advertise.
Others will be able to supply you with more reputable Russian and Ukranian sellers.

I bought an Industar-22 from aleksandr2003, full name A.A. Lesnikov of Pskov in western Russia (very close to the border with Latvia).

Lens was very inexpensive but as described on eBay. Mechanically dodgy but the optics are excellent. Would buy from this seller again.
