Color filters on chromogenic (C-41) films?

Do color BW filters work for chromogenic films (Ilford XP2, Kodak ProfotoBW) the same way as for classic BW films ?

The short answer is yes and some will say they have more of an effect on C41 than when the same filter is used on conventional B&W film.
