Color Street Photography

2007? So I guess you already must have seen this place then, I understand that it has become one of the landmarks of Taipei

the old film pics would be very interesting :)

I have not seen it! Last time I went back, spent most of time to visit old friends and family. I think next year will be similar but will make a point to do some sight seeting this time :)

After seeing the thread, I am impressed.

For myself, colour rarely adds anything essential. But :

wow Hsg, though I admire your consistency I am very pleased to see this extraordinary image from you which is NOT mainly low sun, lit up single color dots or repeated colors in high contrast to strong shadows. I remember you said you are done with street photography because you had achieved all you wanted. I had wished to respond that there is an infinite variety of street photography out there that may keep you busy but had thought that my authority was to low to say that, now I take this chance though ;)

not that I believe that my images can match up, I like top post, usually very new photos, and learn from that anyways ;) Canon LTM 2/35 on Sony A7

I'm glad you liked that photo, but I can tell you that it was a lucky shot. I zoomed in with a P&S and clicked.

I'm not done with street photography because that is the only genre I have; however, I've exhausted the same streets and neighborhoods.

I share photos that I like and that is what makes them consistent. I value consistency more than an eclectic mix of hits and misses.

Ballon man is a great candid !

One comment on cameras this image brings up....
...I'm now convinced I prefer the look of M240 images over M9/ME/M8 images.
They seem to be more lifelike and have *pop* to colors.
Even humble lenses like the skopar look great on that camera!
