Colour film characteristic?

Hi,
I'm the newbie in film photography. I find it very hard to choose between various brands of film i today market. What is the characteristics of some of these film?
Fuji Superia 200
Fuji Reala
Kodak 160C
....
What is your favourite film for portrait, walk around, and landscape?

portrait: Kodak Plus-X, Fuji Neopan Acros 100 (so, no color)
walkaround: tri-x for B&W, Kodachrome 64 for color on sunny days
landscape: Kodachrome 64
