I second that - this particular conversion looks great - seems like the whole body of the lens is new. How does it feel in use (focus friction, aperture ring ...)?
The front of the lens is original (aperture ring, filter ring, etc.); the rear part with helical is added. Focus is smooth, RF couples to 0.7m
Robert,
Since the mount is new, would it be possible to have the lens in ltm?
thanks!

There are not many top performer, modern, 45/50mm f/2 for those nice Barnacks.....

If you're referring to the 90mm f/2.8, I believe they can!

That looks like a proper conversion. I have the Biogon 21mm converted by MS optical and the conversion is crude; front of the lens rotates during focusing, tiny focusing tab and flimsy aperture ring which came loose once.
However it is way more compact than the ZM version and despite its flaws, I love it. Great results every time and the excellent portability makes it my favorite lens

By the way Dirk from japanexposures.com entertains order from outside Japan. He will help you in the conversion, not only selling the already converted ones.

Just spotted g converted to m on Evilbay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Contax-G-...24592955?pt=Camera_Lenses&hash=item4abe8e8c3b anyone fancy to buy them? Seller has few other rare lenses for sale worth to have a look.

The seller appears to have converted a whole set of lenses to M-mount himself. Hard to tell about the quality of the job, though it certainly looks good cosmetically.
This may be another option for those who want their G-mount lenses converted, in addition to the other two (Hawk Optical and Japan Exposures).

The colors don't match because G-mount lenses have titanium shells to match the titanium bodies of the G1/G2 cameras. The Leica pictured is chrome. Whoever did the conversion actually did a pretty good job of matching the color of the existing G lenses.

He sells converted lenses. He does not convert lenses sent to him by customers, I think.

I just sent the merchant a message to see if he does the conversion and will report back on what I hear.
The lenses appear to be 6-bit coded, as well.

His asking prices for the converted lenses are reasonable.

Is that you Franky? Looks like a Hawk product from Taiwan, the one on ebay could be a China conversion since the seller comes to Shanghai alot.

There is no asking price -- the lenses are up for auction and bidding doesn't end for several days. I'd assume they'd go for more than the current price.
