Contax I speed dial

Can anyone tell me why certain (mid range?) shutter speeds appear twice?

Is it just that on one setting they use the slow speed escapement and on the other they don't?

I'm doing my best but I find this camera something of a struggle to use...makes a Leica simplicity itself, which of course it is!

Which camera? I've never seen it but then I've lived a cloistered life.

Zeiss Contax I with slow speeds so that's any of the versions (7?) but not the first two....I think!
