Contax N1 error

Hi!

My Contax N1 won‘t operate the shutter when I press the release button.

Any idea what could have caused this?
Is there anything I can do about that?

Are batteries good? I don't know much about the N1 but with AF SLRs, if AF mode is on focus priority, they will not trip the shutter until focus is achieved.

Does the focus button on the back of the camera work? If it does there might simply be a contact problem with your shutter release.

Yep, like Pan said. Make sure your camera is set to release priority not focus priority.

Yeah, the focus button works.
Is there still a Contax service? In Europe would be perfect..

Fixed my T2 where water ingress had damaged the PCB. Didn't charge the world. Highly recommended.
