Contax Sonnar to 4/3rds mount ?

Having just discovered that my Panasonic L1 works with live view [ initially , I tried with the Dig 3 clone and it just magnifies by 10 so something is wrong somewhere ]

I would love to try my Jupiters and pair of Sonnars - do you know of one which will do this ?
The lens is too deep at the back for the micro 4/3rds mount .

For Sonnar 50 you have to use a special adapter which is over $200 on eBay, longer ones like 85 or 135 you can find something around $30.

I use a Contax to M-Mount, and the m-Mount to u43 adapter for my EP2.

The L1 is a 4/3 mount right? If so, a Contax RF lens isn't going to work...

Important Point: the Contax RF lenses work with Micro 4/3 mount. As Micro-43 will work with regular 4/3 lenses with an adapter, and prices are dropping, I would suggest getting a u43 camera.

Thanks, I was thinking of just the G1 .
But it may be more cost effective to find a good 39mm J 3 ! LOL .

I use an Amadeo Contax-to-M adapter, and then an M-to-u4/3 adapter. You could do it more cheaply with one of the modified Kiev mount-to-M kludges that show up on e-bay from time to time. Since you are focusing through the lens, the precise registration of the helical matters less. Note: this doesn't work for lenses that recess very far into the camera body (e.g. the Russian 35mm biogon clone or the C/V 28/3.5 in SC mount).

There is a Roxen adapter to screw Leica at £230 in UK , which is a little out of my reach at present LOL . I have a Leica / m43 adapter ordered .
