UPD: I offered to update Fuji advanced P&S which my wife is using to new A10/A3 Fuji. She refused it. Yesterday she was using this old Fuji P&S to take picture of me sitting by one of our daughters. And I was using M8 to take picture of seating next to us cat.
Yes, I was very close to purchase Ricoh GRII which was on sale at local internet and regular store where I purchased couple of DSLR lenses before. Was reading almost every review of X series. I also get skunked on two deals for Canon 6D. And only scored on used, but not abused chrome M8 from RFF classifieds.
Price and handling are good match to feel conformable for goofing around with it and still enjoying the Leica thing.
10MP files are what I use in M-E as well.
The only "problem" is lens. I'm already switching Summarit-M 35 2.5 between M4-2 and M-E. And I like how it works with M8. It is coded and if I wear glasses (prefer to wear sunglasses while goofing around) with M8 frame-lines I don't have to take them off to see 35 frame-lines!
Currently using J-12 on M8, which is sharp enough wide open, but handling is far from the best. It is slow lens by all means.
