Hello all I am a new member here but have been a tourist for longer than I would like to admit 😉
I have a chance to pick up a Hex 1.2/50 for an average if not slightly low price. It's SN is later than 1800. I understand that the later lenses are thought to have less focus issues with non-Hexar cameras (is this true?). I shoot a a couple of Besa's, a ZI, R D1, and now an M8.
The fast lens fever does not actually flow through my system but, I have found the high ISO settings on the M8 mostly pretty filthy. The R D1 better but mostly for in camera B+W JPGS. I thought about a CV 1.2/35 but, when I want the extra speed it is usually in nightclubs or street scenes where extra reach is also favorable.
At the risk of beating this to death. Could I hear some opinions or maybe see some samples to make a case for purchase? Desiring a modern fast look. I already have the Canon and find it's signature is overbearing when you don't want it.
Cheers
Andy
