Yes, I saw that movie yesterday, and I laughed when I saw it (the camera). My gf got it too (she sees them a lot). I couldn't tell the lens either, but I'm sure it's an instant collectible 😀

That's the one. It's done by actual photography - each frame is a photograph. Or so sez the creator.

Coraline is written by Neil Gaiman, so I wouldn't expect it to be too fluffy.

I was double pleased thatt they didn't do some silly SLR split prism view for the shooting scene, but actually got the framlines right.

Definitly not too fluffly, and rather creepy at times.

Yeah. I'd say it was a little beyond what I'd take a 3, or 4 year old too. Hollywood seems to have set a precedent that makes people think that if something is animated, or stop motion, that it is entirly targeted towards, and safe for young children.

Though, taking kids to this would be far less severe then the people who brought their seven year olds to Pan's Labyrinth thinking is was just another innocent story about a young girl's dreams of a fairy tale world.

It's a superb movie--my kids liked it a lot. I wish more kids' movies were as interesting as this one.
