Well, why not. Would seem that the societal effects should be fertile, thought provoking ground. Not thinking about photos of sick people, but there is a lot of related material out there.

Didn’t post this in “Travel” section because, well, that’s “banned”.

What a great idea!

I was baffled by 'well, that’s “banned”'...what is banned, taking photographs at airports?

I went to Target late last night, and this is what's left of the toilet paper aisle. Taken with a Pixel 2, then went a little nuts on the editing sliders in Google Photos because things feel a bit nuts right now. There are paper towels left, because I guess everyone is too soft to wipe their butts with Bounty. :D

When hoarding in preparation for sheltering in place, don't forget your best friend.

He didn't care that all the toilet paper was gone.

I have discovered that there are still plenty of steel wool and pot scourers left and have stocked up on those in lieu of toilet paper. You never know I may become desperate enough.

Seriously I do not quite understand what has panicked the herd into mass purchases of toot paper. I am sure if I get a bad case of the virus I will have other things on my mind than toilet paper.

Panic buying loads of toilet paper? Weird. But somewhere I got the idea that people intended to use the toilet paper to fashion make-shift filter-masks... If that's not it, then it's still weird considering the quantities acquired. Why, oh why?

Same in the UK. Is there a secret diarrhoea epidemic we haven't been told about?

No I think the answer lies elsewhere. Someone once told me "Peter if you have an average intelligence IQ of 100, just look around you and you will find that half the people you meet are less smart than you are."
I now officially believe him judging by all the mass hysteria over toilet paper we are seeing. In fact I would say more than half...............

In Italy soccer is very popular. I took this photo two weeks ago, prior to the total lock down. In that moment was only suggested to limitclose human contacts, and all social, sport, cultural events banned.

It's so strange to see the parking place in front of the local soccer club stadio empty on sunday morning.

The sign on the shops says: "dear clients, in order to give a contribution for the safety of everyone we decided to keep the shop closed. We thank you for understanding."

I visited Matsumoto Castle last Friday (March 6th) hoping to see inside the castle, but once again my plan was foiled. I visited last year during Golden Week (early May), but the queue to see inside was 3 hours long so we just took some snaps from the outside and headed home.

This time, however, the coronavirus foiled our plan.

There was a consolation prize though.. getting to see the Honmaru Garden for free (I didn't make it that far last time) AND with almost no people around.

I think it's preparation for staying in for a set time, imagine being quarantined and you're out of TP...
