Took a day trip last weekend in China for some of the best hidden relics in the adjacent region. In an ideal world, would be exploring the other side of the planet by this time. But I'm glad I got to do this one anyway.
These are tomb guardians for a series of now largely obscure emperors from 5th-6th century AD. Most were ravaged by ensuing chaos after these emperors' demise, but after that, they didn't see much visitors regardless of what it's like in the outside world for the past 1500 years.
