Hello,
I recently picked up a Cosina Compact 35 E for not very much money.
It's a simple and small enough rangefinder (about the same size as my Ricoh 500 G), but I can't find any info on it. Google doesn't come up with much, so I wondered if anyone can point me to a good source.
I particularly need to know the battery type.
It's worth noting that this is not the Cosina Compact 35 Automatic Electric Eye model, but a later version, which is a cross between a P&S instatmatic and a traditional rangefinder.
For example, the film advance lever is on the back of the camera, half way between the top-plate and the compartment door and the shutter release is a rectangular button à la Kodak 110!

38mm / 2.7 Cosinon lens
25-400 ASA manual adjustment
Copal shutter
Auto / Bulb settings
Light meter with aperture / shutter indications (no battery=not working)
Self-timer
Hot shoe
PC socket
Flash Guide Numbers in metres/feet on lens barrel (annoyingly, when I engage this ring it gets stuck and turns with the focussing ring then jams)
A curious little camera. Any help would be appreciated.
