Wonderful composition. I keep looking at it. Thinking how that wave on the right is crucial to the balance I notice the gull, and then the bollard way left.

Thanks Thomas. I sold my Zeiss Ikon and Planar 50 to fund the Xpro1. I really like the fuji, but honestly miss the ZI and 50. Too bad I am not rich enough to afford both.

I've always liked the Zeiss optics better for color, but prefer Leica for B&W. One of the coolest rendering lenses I ever used was a 50 Planar for a Contarex Bullseye. I'll give one guess why I didn't keep it -- the camera was a beast -- but that lens was really good.

The Planar is now my only 50mm M-mount lens, so I think I'll be very active in this thread from now on
Here is it, on TX400, developed on Xtol 1:1

That is beauuuutiful. I love the Planar, but I only have the Contax C/Y version so can't share pics here, I guess.

Shortly before a concert of John Adams' works, this man in the nearby coffeehouse was intensely conducting a silent conversation with himself. Perhaps an interior score--the gestures were conductor-like. I've seen him elsewhere in similar conversations, but he was dressed for the concert here. I love the great black hat, and the red braid harmonizing with the wall. Here are 2 of the 4 shots--it's the 45 Planar (G1) mounted on a Lumix G1 (sorry, I have no ZI, and no ZM Planar yet....)
