Too much stuff... it'll just distract you from the life-changing experience you'll have on this trip. RX100 and one of those little gorillapod flexible tabletop tripods for the shots of the cathedral interiors. Free yourself up to experience stuff that's going to come at you right and left.

If you want to go to Germany, you can go with mitfahr and rest in Jugendhaus, I dont know if all Jugendhaus will accept Senior but my Nordhausen Jugendhaus accept Senior. The cost for one night is only 15 euro include breakfast. Big west Germany cities like Hannover is 25 euro.
