Critique site please. Tear it apart if you want to :)

Hi. Again, thank you for your comments, I've already made a couple of subtle changes based on your suggestions. I added frames to the thumbnails in the galleries and added a slide show button to be able to view the images in order. (I just have to get rid of the reflection of the pictures in the slide show window.)

Personal/Commercial work: What's the first empty image with the one black pixe in the middle???Looks funky.
Final remark: The site does not make it clear why you made it. Nothing tells me that you are looking for work.
Ah and the Welcome and Home links on the top look like "Welcome home" as single text when not mouseover, which looks weird.
You could also sneak in a shot of yourself somewhere, after all you are a photographer🙂
In case you are not too scary looking, of course😉

The images have the same order in the galleries as in my physical portfolio, iweb arranges the thumbnails automatically so I cannot leave an empty space because it would change the sequence, separating images that should be together. I put the one pixel jpg in the beginning to keep this order.

I built the site as part of a whole marketing plan, the idea is to give or send a comp card with one or two images to clients that I'm interested in working with, I'll follow through with a phone call asking for an interview. If they tell me they're too busy, I'll send them an e-mail asking to check out my website. That's why it doesn't say much, it's just a teaser to get an interview.

Welcome home is just a curious coincidence, iweb puts links to all the pages on the site on top but I didn't like the way it looked so I started turning them off until I left the two most basic ones which happened to be welcome and home, I love that! 🙂

I'll have to think harder about putting a picture of me, I want people to hire me for my work and not because of my good looks! 😀 😀 😀

Pics are great but some need spotting/dust removal.

I'll definitely do that, there's no excuse for sloppy work.

Do you have an option in iWeb to show a clock or some other object to indicate that photos are loading?

There is no option to directly do that but maybe I can put a script or something, I'm reading a lot in ways to customize iweb sites.

Ian, EnochRoot, even though differently, I think both of you get to the same conclusion and I agree entirely, I think critics willing to help advance a cause should question it in order to understand it and then, based on their experience, suggest options of how to proceed.

Ian, I love your quote of william blake. 🙂

Thank you so much to all who have contributed to this thread.
