Crumpler Question?

Were there not some bags with "weenie" or "wiener" in the name? Maybe that's enough to get it blocked! You must be protected from the sinful influence of the wiener! 😀

(Sorry if I've just got you blocked from this site, too!)

I have a Budgie Smugggler. For me it is the wrong size for almost everything I have. ( I don't have a parakeet) Either too big or too small. Also, they use a a very large hook-and-loop fastening patch. It makes a lot of noise when you are trying to get into the bag.

However, it came with a matching digital camera pouch that is perfect for my Gossen Super Pilot exposure meter.

If you can't find a Crumpler to suit, check out this Domke bag . I got it last month and took it to NYC on a daytrip. Fit my simple Bessa kit (see below), a paperback, small notebook, and film (with room for another lens).

It does look a bit handbag-like, but the price is decent. It also comes in black and khaki, and has two adustable dividers inside. The rubberized strap is a good touch, too -- sticks to your shoulder.

Just a quick question. Do you guys like the crumpler photo bags? Not sure which one to even be looking at. Really just want to carry 1 camera (a RF or SLR) some filters, film, flash and a book and not have it look like a camera bag. Tryin to do this on a budget so i'm really hesitating.....

Any opinions?

Thanks.

I have one that I am using to hold lenses and a body that don't get alot of use, it is well padded BUT heavy. I prefer my Domke f6 little bit smaller [than the f2] I added an additonal 2 pocket insert so it has 6 total. I can put two bodies, 4 lenses, etc lots of film. Light and comfortable

and less expensive to boot

Ended up getting the Safrotto bag off of EBAY. Seemed more along the lines of something I would carry too and from work in the city anyways.

That guy is a killer with the shipping and handeling, but still cheaper then Domke.

I bought one of those Safrotto bags from that seller (after you posted the link). I own 4 Domke bags and I love their quality, so I'm anxious to see how it compares to Domke.

Unhappy with Crumpler and other small bags I have looked at lately,
I recently bought another Domke F-5XB. That makes three now...

Got my Safrotto bag. Very well made. Not too heavy. A little smaller then i thought it was going to be. Seems ok though. Will fit a RF and other stuff or a small SLR kit. Really wanted it for my new Bessa R3a and normal crap to carry to work. When i got my Bessa I got the $1.00 case from Photo Village and it makes the camera a little too big to fit in one of the 1/3 compartments. If I just use the bottom half it all fits nice. Do you guys keep your cameras in the never ready when in a bag? Over all great bag for the price but he rips you off on shipping. $20.00 shipping on a $35.00 bag.
