crumpler question

I use BBB, it's my everyday bag for my rf. I don't have any problem when carrying my complete kit which consists of M6 (with ML Grip), 50 cron, 28 elmarit, SB22 flash, canon off shoe cord and 3 or 4 rolls of film. To avoid all those stuffs from banging each other, I always put my flash in a small cloth bag and wrap my lens with a lens cleaning cloth, the other lens is mounted on the camera.

Most of the time though, when I just walk around, I only carry my M6, two lenses and several rolls of film.

I also use crumpler 5MD for my DSLR, it can packs my 30d, 85 f/1.8, 24-70L and 135L, but it's really tight.

Have you looked at Courrierware's Incognito bag?
There are several sizes you can choose from, and I think one of them will suit your need. Lately I've been thinking about getting an Incognito bag. I need a bag that can be used as a camera bag for rf or dslr kit and also to carry paper work (like a messenger bag). The BBB is just too small for carrying paperwork.

have you actually been using it much ralph?
i like the theory of that bag but might cringe too much when i hear lenses and bodies banging into each other with just a thin patch of fabric for protection.

I am carrying it every day now. It is much smaller than I expected, and carries everything I want it too. Not too much. Body with lens, two lenses, a small flash.... wallet, phone, blah, blah, blah.

The camera is in the main bag, lenses, flash in internal small pockets, everything else fits in the outside pockets and around. Nothing smashes together.

I agree, seeing is believing, anything else is a guess.

Here is my little what is in a bag demonstration. Hope it helps.

And what fits inside. Not crowded, and not too much. I could fit another lens in too, easily.

just back from my first outing with the oskar day bag clone and it is nice. hugs the body, easy to grab the camera or put it back in, very light and comfortable.
i has a short grab strap like the domke f6 and i like it. the domke 5xb should have one too.
this bag is very good and has me wondering about the real a&a day bag.

you bought the ep1!!!?
i must have missed that post.

how can i trust your judgement on a bag when you bought the ep1...😉

Yeah, I brought a Bessa L+ into the house. It is a very nice camera, pretty close to what I expected and want. But it is just another digital without a soul. It just begs for a good fast, small prime lens. My hopes are on the Panny 20/1.7 transforming it into a real winner, assuming Panny can actually get their products to the marketplace. I am pretty concerned with their inability to stock their retailers. That isn't a good sign I don't think. And Oly is moving with sloth like get up and go re M43 so I am not overwhelmed by them either.

FYI, I'm still waiting for my Courierware Incognito. I will post an impression of it vs. the bbb when it comes in.

I got a much bigger Incognito than the BBB, just because I want something for traveling and transporting photo gear with some other essentials more than I wanted another little man purse for a small camera setup. But I should be able to at least compare them feature-wise.

I think 7 million will be too big. 6 MD will not be too big and have extra space for other stuffs. Though if it was me, I would get a 5MD.

When I go out shooting with my daughter, we usually only use one camera bag to carry our cameras. We use the 5MD to carry a Canon dslr with 24-70 lens attach (the lens is pretty big) and my M6 with 50 cron plus 28 elmarit and 2 or 3 rolls of film. The 5MD is small but it can be divided into 3 compartments. one compartment for the dslr, second one for the rf and the last one for the extra M lens, some extra rolls of films, canon battery and cf cards.

Do you guys know if in the external/front pocket of a 6 MD or 7 MD I can fit a 10" netbook?

I cant find those bags here in Argentina so I will have to order it. Any help will be great.

Thanks.

I have a 7 MDH and I don't think you could fit it in the external pocket. It's a big bag but most of the space is on the inside rather than in the pockets. The 6 MDH is smaller than the 7, so I don't think it would fit in that bag either, but someone who owns a 6 MDH will be able to give you a definite answer about that.

You might have better luck fitting it in the back pocket of a Domke F803 or one of the F803 clones

I find the 7 is too big and bulky to carry around as a general shooting bag so I use if for transporting stuff and use a smaller satchel-type bag when I'm walking around.
