Hi there! I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a way to get custom made camera accessories for FSU cameras. Does anyone know in particular if anyone out there makes hand grips (I'm imagining something that screwed into the tripod mount) or "lens goggles" like on some of the Leica M lenses I've seen. Just out of curiosity, and any other camera accessories would be nice to know about, too!

well i have no idea what lens goggles are but if you want a lens hood then they are easy to find on the bay, 40.5mm and there is a new york based seller.
hand grips?..why?
wide angle finder if you need one - just look around for an auxilary lens kit from something like a Petri, the finder that comes with the kit works fine.[many other brands also, just search aux lens.
Best accessory you can find is film..:)

I meant goggles like on the Leica M lenses that came out with the M2 and M3 to magnify the viewfinder. I just wondered if there weren't such things that could match that on an FSU camera. And "hand grips" could be anything to make the camera more grippy, it's very hot here in the summer and I find myself having clammy palms or fumbling a lot. I saw a nice low profile one for the Bessa cameras and wondered if something like that would be hard to find/be made.

I've made several. Heavy guage aluminum, bent to wrap the frame, and secured to the tripod mount.
Wood grip screwed to the brkt. Didn't like the result at all.
Thought about a thumb rest fitting the acc. mount up top (ala M grip)
but never got around to it. Camra Leather Griptite (?) would be terrific, but he's not making it for FSUs.

Leica lens goggles are custom designed to work with Leica view/rangefinders. Goggle optics are not universal but would have to be matched to what ever viewfinder they were used on. Not likely anyone would do that for various FSU RF cameras. They would cost many times the price of the camera.

In a word, and as others have said, no. Goggles are Leica M specific (apart from various ltm close focus devices). You can get camera cradles that move the tripod mount to the centre that will give the camera extra heft but in no way are they an ergonomic grip.

But I'm referring to Leicalike Feds and Zorkis, if you are talking about the later models I know nothing.
