I have spent some time trying to workout which W/A lens to go for to use on my screw mount Leica and finally I went for the Voigtlander 21mm f4.
|Some lenses take some mental re-tuning to get used to but the 21/4 Skopar seems so far seems to be what Roger Hicks would call a 'magic' lens for me. I love the sharpness, I love the contrast and I love the 90 deg + angle of view.

It's the kind of lens that really makes you think about your shots and I really like that about it...
I felt the 15mm was too wide FOR ME and playing with the 21mm has reinforced my thoughts that 21mm for my style is about right.
Here's some shots from my first test roll.

It's a lens I love and use quite often, it's very good and - with some attention to distortion - for environmental portraits too.
Have fun with yours,
ciao

No I cant compare it to a pre asph Elamarit ... but then I can't afford one !!!
My other 'Magic' lens is my CLA'd Jupiter 3 .. just can't get enough of it.
But my impression of cv lenses ( I have the 35mm Ultron as well) is big bang for the money

Yeah I think it might be my next lens to have a 21/35/40 kit. It's so small there's no reason not to have one in your bag, even with the finder. I borrowed one last summer and didn't use it that much, but after looking back at my negs I think I want to have it in my bag.

I bought a CV21 shortly before my recent trip to Mexico. I took 75% of my colour pictures with this lens. I love the perspective (in my SLR like I love my Sigma 15-30), but for me looking through the BRIGHT external viewfinder was really addictive. There is serious vignetting with this lens, but I'll learn how to correct this. Here are a couple of shots (all with the Bessa R3A / CV21 / Astia 100 combo).
