CV 35/2.5 PI or Konica UC 35/2 LTM?

I have owned a CV 35/2.5 PI for the last few months, and am happy with it's performance. Recently, I've been offered a Konica UC 35/2, and am deciding whether it would make sense to get it as well. I will have a chance to try it out for a few days next week. In the meantime, could you share your thoughts on their relative merits, and whether there is any tangible difference between them wide open? Thanks!

The UC-Hex is nearly perfect... it's small, compact, solid, has a great focusing tab/action, and performs exceptionally well at all apertures.

If only it had closer focusing (0.7 rather than 0.9m).

Will put mine up for sale soon because of this.

Hexanon is in a whole different league. If price was right - I'd buy one.

The price difference between the Voigtlander and the Konica lens is quite huge if I'm not mistaken. From what I read, the Konica lens is as good as the Leica Summicron lens, and that it's quite rare, that's why it's expensive compared to the Voigtlander lens. Anyway, if money is not a problem, go for it, you can still sell it later if you don't like it 😛

I sold mine because of the 0.9M closest focus and the very small tab, so I had usability issues with it. Other than that I thought it was a sublime lens; beautiful images and incredible build quality.

I have used them both.
There is NO COMPARISON.
I shoot the UC Hex.
I won't let it go. Some things are worth the price difference.
Take the Hex.

I doubt you'll be disappointed. So far, my experience has been that all Hexanon lenses are good lenses.

IMO the lens is so good that I can forgive it for only focausing down to 0.9m. WhenI want to pull things in closer I put on a 50mm, or longer. The Uc Hexanon is not a portrait lens, even on a cropped digital.
