CV 35/2 and 21/3.5 Concept M-mount Lenses at Photokina

If that 35 had a tab, my UC-Hexanon would be getting awfully nervous!

Looking forward to the results on the 21, as I've been eyeballing a 21 Super Elmar Asph for a while...

Hi,

I just wanted to add info. According to DC Watch (in Japanese) they are “already decided to be on production line, however, the date and price are TBD status. On both models, hood is going to be sold separately”

i'm really close to pulling the trigger on a 35/2 Summicron ASPH, now this has me thinking about things. i wish they had some test images to share.

Officially announced. Pre-order is open in Japan:

35/2: 80,190 yen, 170 grams, 8 elements in 5 groups with aspherical element. 9,000 yen for the LH-12 hood.
21/3.5: 85,050 yen, 180 grams, 9 elements in 8 groups with aspherical element. 9,000 yen for the LH-11 hood.

Shipping January 2019.

Ashperical optics in 39mm filter size, 30mm high and under 200g. To me it is one of the best specifications for RF lens.

the info on the CV website says 90,000 yen for the 35/2

I wished it would be cheaper given the prices for the 35/1.4

I'll just wait for a used copy in the secondary market. That also leaves time for me to save up for a used M2 as well.

Great news!
I get nervous with this 2/35 lens as I own the Ultron 1.7/35, a really great lens but I don't like the strange focus ring.
For me the examples look very promising, so is the Bokeh.
But let's wait for further pictures.

The best thing is, that we don't have to wait 8 month (like with the Nokton 50 f1.2) from announcement 'till FCS ...

Forgot the tax. Should be 90,000 then.

Nice to see new M mount lenses that are smaller. Seems all the new optics are so big.

Edit ---> Oops, guess these are just new mounts for existing.

$800 does not seem bad compared to a Leica 35mm f2.

I would argue Leica prices are insane to begin with hahaha

But with new M lens offerings like this I should be happy there are 3rd party manufacturers providing alternatives :D

You had it right the first time. The street price is lower than Cosina's price on their website. Map has the 35 for 80,190 yen including tax and the 21 for 85,050 yen including tax.

No, these are new optics for M-mount.

Jon: for some reasons those links don't work for me. The English error message says, "The sever refuse to browse the page.

Sent you a PM.
