CV 35mm/f1.7 - what about it?

It's been my main lens for almost three years now. I really like its smooth rendering and the feel of the focus ring. As others have said the minimum focus distance has been an occasional problem.
I will buy the new 35 1.4 but I won't sell the Ultron right away...

Like most of the commentators on this thread, I have been very happy with this lens on my R-D1. The lower contrast works well with the camera's image sensor. To my eye, the bokeh is nice and smooth. Regarding size, the 35mm Ultron is half way between a small lens like the Skopars and a large lens like the 28mm Ultron or 50mm Nokton.

If the 35mm Nokton does not demonstrate clear optical superiority, the Ultron will remain a smart buy for those who can live with a f/1.7 aperture. Personally, I usually shoot at f/2 in low light.
