My M6 is getting a CLA. What frameline does it (M6) use when the CV 40mm is fitted on the body? 35 or 50?

Yep, 50mm framelines.
I loved mine when I had it. I only sold it when I got a 50mm f.4 Millenium Nikkor with the Amadeo adapter. The CV 40mm will not disappoint you.

Well I ended up selling the CV 40 SC and bought a CV 35 SC. Gives a little better frameline accuracy on the M6.

I'd love to have that 40mm or the Summicron 40mm, but I always tell myself that I won't like the inaccurate framelines...

I've ended up doing the same thing in that I've sold the CV 40/1.4 that accompanied my M6. I just didn't feel comfortable not having accurate framelines on my camera. It's perfect with a Bessa R3 though...

Isn't the 40mm closer to the 35mm? why didn't they code it as 35 atleast? Can i fix it somehow? whats the difference on the mount?

Any ideas yet on mounting the 40mm on an M4 or M6 with closest framelines to what the lens looks at?

You just need to file the mount a fraction and it will bring up the 35mm framelines. On an M9 at least the 35mm framelines are very generous with a Summicron and the CV 40mm actually fits the space more accurately.

Unknown words ? didn't quite get it

edit: sorry i googled it ! now i got it. apologise

wouldn't be like easier if i made a mask to put on my VF on the front glass ? any ideas on size? :) that would be a nice idea since the 40mm viewfinder is the best solution and i dont want to bulk my camera beyond the softie :D
