the 4 cv lenses i ordered have arrived in today's mail.

the 15/21/28 and 35, all slow and all incredibly tiny will live with the r4m that i got last week.
the 40 rokkor that is still in the mail will be the lone outsider used on sunny days instead of the more contrasty 35/2.5.

this should be an incredible kit and getting the 25 cv is tempting just for it's size alone.

i look forward to the domke f6 bag that will become home to the kit.

the zi is going to rest for the next month or so while i get accustomed to the new gear and start my wide angle exploration.

Very good choices, I wish I could compartmentalize my photographic life like that, my stuff is like a garage sale, or if you are in UK a jumbo sale. It all fits, but I would rather have a set up like yours.

they all seem like pretty good lenses, build wise. the 28 is a hefty little sucker!
as far as shooting...it snowed here today, is raining now and likely will till monday, maybe sunday.
but i'm just gonna have to get wet.

Looks like a lot of fun in your near future- are you predicted for as good a weather week as we in NE have earned?

Have a blast!

(So does your stuff stay so shiny and new or do you 'wear it in'?)

Way to go, Joe!

My next purchase will be the 21/4, which will round out my kit, fitting a niche with the 35, 50, and 75 already in the bag.

Good luck, good shooting...

Don

Good stuff, Joe, Congrats !

Use color film, rain gives good color photos ...

Cheers,

Roland.

i can't honestly say that i baby my stuff but it usually stays pretty new looking.
i have a touch of the ocd so things stay organized, neat and orderly.
you may have noticed from some of my threads...😉

You must have posted as I was oogling your gear Joe- sorry to hear you've gotten the weather I had for my 'spring break' rain does give me an excuse to 'run those films now' while I'm still wet. My darkroom has one of the best little heaters in the house.

we'd call them a jumble sale here...

Joe - congrats on the purchase. looking forward to the shots and the opinions.

colour film?
i wouldn't even know where to buy it!
😉
maybe i'll take the grd along as well.

joe

Leave the grd at home & experiment with some color film, especially when using the 15. awsome lens! I envy you.🙂

joe: I agree about trotting out some colour film. Go to Callingwood, Wolf Willow, Sobeys, or some place and get some C41. You can have it done in a 1-hour lab, develop and scan only for pretty cheap.

I love that first photo ... that R4M looks superb!
