daily carry camera - film

I usually have an Oly in my courier bag - a 35RC, Trip 35 or XA. I carried a Contax TVS II - which I loved - for about a week, but the flexible circuit board died (fortunately during the warranty period). A Leica Mini-Zoom arrived in the mail today. I'll test it out this weekend and hopefully it will become my permanent daily companion.

I always carry my M6 with a 35, 50 or both in a domke. The only place I do not is the gym or if the leica is loaded with slower film and I won't have much light, then it is the ricoh GRD2. Often both.

Camera thats always with me is Canon Q17 GIII - always in a car. When I expect to take photos, I bring Hexar RF with either Hex 35 or Hex 50 lens. Film - whatever I have on hand at the time.

When I was working in Japan, I carried my main/best camera every day too.

Leicas were daily carry cameras for serious photographers in the old days, but nowadays we have more automated and smaller 35mm cameras.
I took my entire Hexar kit with me almost every day for the first three years I had it. It still comes out with me a good deal, but for assorted reasons it's not every day now. Since breaking my Ricoh GR-1, I've longed for a camera that fit the bill for easy everyday use. The Contax Tvs has been it since I got it from you in late April. As with everything, this could change, but so far it's been tops for me. I normally load it with either XP-2 or BW400CN, but once I've got my home-souping setup going again, I'll need to choose between HP5 (my old standard), Tri-X, and Neopan. Oh, the decisions...!

When I used to walk to work I carried my M6 or M4, depending on color or B&W.
Now that I commute by bicycle I bring my CL with me in my backpack most days. I'm going to rig a cell phone pouch or something for my Stylus Epic so I can pull it out without going into my pack.

Never leave my house w/o a camera. Mju II is always in a small styro box loeaded with XP2 in my car and CLE with 28 ultron/40-c in my domke F5xb (now the canonet gIII). Others go with me on personal photo assignment only.

(not film)
my rd1 with one to 3 lenses in my regular bag.
if i carry my netbook, then usually just the rd1 with 28 on it, in the domke 803.

i always have a camera with me.

Can't believe no one has mentioned one: Retina IIa is my favorite carry camera. If I'm lazy I carry my Stylus Epic. I like my Leica IIIc, Oly ECR and Minox GL, but the Retina is really my joy to shoot pocket camera.

I carry an MP with either 35 cron or 50 elmar to work pretty much everyday. I used to carry Rollei 35 quite often but she is now in a very sorry state.

MP with a small lens can fit in the side pocket of my backpack so it's sitting there or held in my hand ready to shoot when I walk to/from office.

I rarely leave the house without an M6 ttl along with a 50mm or 35mm lens, usually in a small haversack. Experience has taught me that I often see things I'd like to shoot when I don't have it with me. Of course I see things when I do have it with me too...

Olympus is my chosen brand for a daily carry camera. It's eather the Oly Trip, -RC or sometimes even the bigger brother -RD that I have with me. I have a Mju-II as well. All are very good cameras and enjoyable to use.

I recently returned to working from home, so now every time I leave my house, I carry at least my M8 and often also my M2 with me. When I worked in NYC I used to carry an M6 or a Digilux 2, but not nearly as often as I should have. I need to figure out a safe way to carry a camera when I'm on my bike, as I tend to see things I wish I'd stopped to shoot, but didn't have a camera with me.

Life is short; take more pictures.

Depends on the weather. If it looks like rain then I limit myself to something that will fit comfortably under my coat (anything from an M3 to a Rolleiflex SLX). If the weather looks fair then I'll carry whichever of my cameras takes my fancy that day, up to and including a Linhoff Technika 70. Rarely will I carry an extra lens.

As long as I have a camera with me, I'm happy.

PS. How's this for daily carry?
