The P I received recently does not have those triangular peices that attach to the strap lugs, so I'm wondering if anyone knows of a good strap with wire rings at the end. All my strape require wire rings or triangles.

if you mean the triangled rings, I just use round key rings of approx. 3/4" dia. available at any key cutting place or hardware store.

That's what's needed here. I do notice that the Gordy Straps and the Artist & Artisian ones have the rings included. But, maybe a set of 1/2" or 3/4" rings would do for now, as I could use my existing Canon straps.

I buy a dozen key rings ,6 of the 3/4" and 6 of a smaller diameter at a mom and pop hardware store.
some cameras only take the smaller rings.

in a pinch, I have made a sturdy camera strap from a mens leather belt that I bought at a thrift shop by splitting the belt in two lenghtwise.

Go to www.fedka.com if you're interested in a plain black leather strap. If you already have straps, then all you need is the rings. Round ones can be found anywhere, but the triangular thingies are peculiar to photography.

The old time solution... and still a great way to eliminate wear on your strap lugs,
was to make a short loop of rawhide (think - leather boot lace) on each side of the body.
Make a long loop and you also have a hand grip.

I use Leicagoodies.com stuff (sling, hook, strap) on EVERY camera I own except the small RFs and big, heavy ones (F2, Lynx). I've never had a problem w/ this system. This system works fine w/ the P.

My vote is also for the Gordy straps. They're period looking, you get to choose your own colors and length, and Gordy's web-site is kinda cool.

I've also used the Domke straps and they are good, but I've always got the impression that they were designed for SLRs and not rangefinders. YMMV
