We're all light!
The 50 M-Hex (like the 28 and 90, all of which I own and use a lot) is simply Real Good. Wide-open, stopped-down, it doesn't disappoint, and built to remain that way. There's nothing not to like.

IMO, the hexaxon-m 50 F2 is obviously better built than latest summicron.

I have no comparison experience on the Summicron, but the M-Hex is superb. Has intermittent click stops, a steel gripping ring that can be used with gloves, it always adds grip. Built-in lens hood. Short focus throw, easy to focus precisely on any M camera.
It's quality of build and optics are brilliant. The Leicas are worthy to hook up with this lens.
I once owned a CLE that was on non speaking terms with the lens. Turned out, it was the body that was off. The lens and my other M-Hexes are excellent on my M3, M5 and M8.

Thanks again, guys for your comments.
I have finally got myself a great condition Hexanon 50mm.
Will try it out to compare with my Summicron C 40mm.
