After some month's of testing it's decided. To some friends it seems to be funny that I started digital not so long ago and now getting intensely involved into analog but I keep telling them that I always had sympathies for "endangered species".

That's settled, but the decision I'm writing about was the question of the workflow after developing the negatives. I had the opportunity to test printing and to do some scanning with a film scanner. Scanning is much easier thinking in terms of necessary space and time but I'm sitting in front of a screen the whole day at work and when I come home it's natural to have a look on the mails, searching for news and have look at the RFF. IMO that's more than enough bits and bytes and now my kitchen got converted for dual use.

After having fulfilled the basics a lot of questions are coming into my mind.

1. I use Moesch Separol developers (environmental friendly), citric acid as stopbath and now I'm looking into a way to concentrate the spent fixer, it would cost me a arm and a leg to dispose it legally in the diluted version but 5 l are free per year and nobody minds when the 5 l are concentrated. The other way would be to clear the fixer from the silveriones (someone mentioned steelwool to me) so it is not considered toxic-waste any more.

2. What about toning. I use PE-Paper until further notice so it is not really necessary for conservational reasons but I like the look of it. I know there a books out there and some recommendations would be great, but for the moment some links would be helpful. As a future project I'm also interested in Lith.

That's all for the moment but I think there will pop up a lot more questions in my mind 😀
