Keep your time and temp the same, double the amount of syrup for each stop you want to push. If your start time is dilution B, you may want to re-figure your start times using dilution G (1:119) and adjust the concentration up from there.

thanks, kmack.

let me see if i understand. if i develop the film for 10 mins. at solution H (1:63) as normal, now i can use the same time at B solution (1:31) for one stop? and cut down the dilution more (1:15) to push one more stop, etc.?

i would assume this will also apply for the same solution and lengthen the developing time, will it?

Yes, that is how it works for me.

If you have not seen it peruse the Covington Unofficial HC110 site. That particular trick is not there but you may want to look some of the higer dilutions. I really like HC110 in 1:100 ant 1:119 semi stand development. (30 sec agitation to start, 3 inversions every 3 min.) So in this case if you would use 3ml in 300 ml water (18min at 20C) you would modify it to 9ml in 300ml water for a 2 stop push.

You will have to modify the times I listed above to suit your personal times.

after reading more, i decided agaist using hc-110 for this purpose. i was going to use acufine or diafine but none is available. then i looked into kodak xtol and also to no avail. the closest thing i can get is kodak d76. i developed the roll at full strength @75F for 6 minutes (30 seconds longer than kodak suggested). beautiful...

just thought to report back, fwiw.
