Digital - Film -Digital, what happened?

I worry about this use of the word 'analogue' and its spelling. As I see it we have film cameras and digital cameras. Digital cameras produce analogue pictures on monitors and via printers. Also 'film' is only four letters.

"Quit" film? "Quit" digital? Absurd.
