No digital products (e.g. Smart Phones) allowed in the Town Hall. They gave them out to to make sure people could have some proof it actually happened. Only question is who around those parts still processes and prints?

Keith: Anything should put the SuperBowl aside. I'm sorry you are so USA centric that this is an event for you. My GGrandmother was Australian and close but not that close to Perth. So what happen to her is way more important to me than this stupid debate.

In Europe, people are very interested in what's going to happen, since the EU and US have quite the common relationship. Things like TTIP, trans-Atlantic trade, science and NATO are instantly related to the course the next US president will plot for his/her term of presidency.
But maybe that's less the case for Australia

I'd say it's just if not more important for Australia, politically as well as comically. We are small, in both population and economy, and rely on USA, Europe, and Asia for partnerships in economy and defence. There is talk of what will happen to our dollar if Trump gets up - it may send it skyrocketing which is very bad for exports.
But mostly is hilarious. It's like a certain former Italian politician, debacles at every turn. If only it didn't matter...

Really, I was there! I have pictures on this hard drive they gave me, but I cannot find the USB port.
My wife just suggested the no smartphone rule was to prevent fact-checking in the hall.

Might be a USB 3 hard drive. Another option is the wire and connector could be wrapped around the outside, though I'd go with a USB 3 cable port on the drive.
It looked historic, though not a lot of fun.

Around these parts Schillers Camera on Manchester or Creve Coeur Camera, 8 locations, will process film, I would highly recommend Creve Coeur Camera for processing and scanning.
There, now you know who processes film in St. Louis. 😀

I used to admire the Australian/Canadian/British parliamentary system where you can choose your prime minister in 4-6 weeks after an election has called. But now I see the value of our very length Presidential election system. This year, had we chosen our candidate in 4-6 weeks we might have made a VERY bad choice.

But one misconception regarding our system is that we choose our prime minister. We don't. We vote for individuals, who then form a majority government who then elect their leader. So the majority government can change the prime minister whenever they like and as often as they like. The result is that the prime minister always has the support of a majority government, so we don't get stuck with a 'lame duck' head of state.
(Of course they do not always control the senate, who often block legislation)
Our campaigns can go on for a while, the last one was a killer! But yeah, the US president is a very drawn out process!
