hi guys . i recently have changed my dns to another to speed up my site . but it doesn't seem that any thing have happened . i want to know does it really impact speed ? (i mean changing dns ? )

it might have helped to use some analyzer like Wireshark before and after, to have comparison results, and how long does each request & response take. its not just dns that affects site speed, but ofcourse is important part of it.

Did you change your computer's recursive server (the one it asks when resolving anything) or your site's authoritative servers (the ones that keep its DNS records and serve them to everyone)? What is the site? Is DNS really the slowest part of the request? If you give me an URL, I can give you ome numbers.
