Hi again, after I've dropped my Konica, happily on soft ground and on corner not lens, I realized I want at least halfcase w/ strap to carry camera.

As there are not many offers of "new old ERC for S2, pristine" I consider looking also for first gen of Auto S, that's with meter on body not lens.

Dimensions fit, but if anybody can comment if tripod socket placement is same ? On pics it seems that it should be, but you know, seems is one thing and fits - another (like Electro 35 case almost fits Lynx 14 - socket is displaced for 2-3mm).

Do anyone has both cameras and could measure ? My appreciation and thanks go in advance.

And so we know - it fits :) Well, if lens is fitted with filter and lens cap, it doesn't. Without filter (or with filter without cap) it does. Declared dimensions differ only for depth - not body lens only - on KAS2 lens is longer for 1.5mm. So I wonder why KAS2 slips inti with very slight resistance like it would be some 1-1.5mm wider - it isn't. Maybe leather has set down on original camera.

One thing I haven't realized before - it's extra space on case for KAS' meter shade. Upper cover anyway is needed only to transport camera in packed state, otherwise half-case is what I want.

Note on upper part - it has padding laying on front cover. Under velvet strip is white foam used - now it has hardened and falls into pieces, so I removed it and will put into either strip from mouse pad (pre-optical) or some felt strip. Otherwise I'm very happy with deal, except maybe shipping costs from USA but this is what we have.

So if I fix KAS I can use it too. It's in nice condition, winds/releases - just aperture is sticky and mirror has unglued (I have one donor which hasn't - so exceptionally). First impression is that KAS has better controls layout on barrel than KAS2 - speed and aperture rings aren't too close, speed ring has grip around whole ring not only two zones like KAS2.

Meter works - on daylight it agrees with my handheld meter, in dim room overexposes a stop. VF rear glass has small crack (it seems had bump on upper cover near rewind crank) - otherwise I wouldn't notice it has got hit. In a word, keeper needing a bit of work :)
