Do you guys use a half case for leica?

.....How about a leica grip or something similar? Do you have to take the grip off in order to reload?.....
I like to use a grip. It does not have to be removed in order to reload, and it has the advantage of centering the tripod socket.

I'm not sure what that comment means but let me make it clear....I think this forum is wonderful and I visit it for the info and depth of knowledge of the members.....please don't put words in my mouth.

Dear Ray,

No offence intended, nor any intention to put words in your mouth! All I meant was that tempests in teacups are pretty much the ground state of any forum like this. What rational person could even get interested in some of the things we discuss, let alone excited about them?

Cheers,

Roger

Thanks all.
Hi fbf,

I'm using Tom's rapidgrip on my MP in combination with a sling (if you know how it looks you can DIY with some strap from Campmore (outdoor store). The rapidgrip provides excellent handling - I also have sweaty fingers. It stays on the bottom plate when changing film - only disadvantage it uses the tripod socket and you have to take it off when you want to use a tripod. But how often do you shoot fireworks  ?

I personally don't baby my equipment, I don't abuse it either but I use it and that means it will have some scratches and brassing and I don't care about the resale value. If some schmuck want's to negotiate a lower price because of exc. and not exc.+ condition, he's just not worth it - in the unlikely event I ever want to sell my MP that is :D.

Thanks Roger.......I agree 1000%. Thanks for the comeback.
