Yes of course. With my 5.6/12 I use the orig. CV finder that came with it (is there any other finder? I guess not)- otherwise I have something in the frame, that's not supposed to be there. Framing this lens w/o the finder is impossible.

19mm, 25mm, 85mm, 100mm and 135mm viewfinders are being used on my rangefinder Canon bodies. I'd like to find a parallax-adjusting 50 viewfinder for my VT.

The Canon Vt DeLuxe needs the 135mm finder. The Leica IIIC only has a 50mm so no need for a finder. The Nikon SP has all of its viewfinders built in for the lenses I have so no need finder that one.

I've been going back and forth with my Zeiss 21mm C and associated finder. Bright light and fast film... love the finder. Low light and slow film... R4a. If I were a bit better judge of distance, it would be finder all the way. Of course, this lens has pretty good depth of field even wide open.. so mostly finder these days.

Recently purchased a 21 3.5 SA along with a Voigtlander finder. I like the bright
image yet realize for quick shots I can pretty well guesstimate the framing using
the 28mm frame lines. Nice either way,

Use Imarect pretty constantly w/ Barnacks--use a voightlander finder for the M when using a 21mm lens.

Biomed, which one with the 20mm 1.7 on the GF-1? I use the 40mm VF but find it not accurate enough. Also, considering getting a 50mm finder for my M7 body as the frame lines are incomplete on the bottom of frame.

Always the 50mm leitz or Voigt (black) when using the 50mm in analog or 35mm in M8. It gives 1:1 image, uncluttered and can shoot both eyes open, the image area just "floating" in my eyesight. absolutely the way to use my M leicas. Also other, 35mm and 21mm as needed.

And the camera goes up to the eye, or its own VF not quite so far, and is down again in no time. The shot draws less attention than hunching behind the camera squinting through its VF.
I worry about the older finders scratching my glasses. I would love to regularly use the Leitz 35 for instance. My 25/28, 21, 18 are all Zeiss with rubber eyepiece covers.

what?
I'd like to, but I use a lensmate thumbrest on the X100, and that takes up the hot shoe.

Maybe someone could produce an accessory holder for the Lensmate? (Stephen?)

Yes with 21 on M9, M4-2, CL.
Yes also with 28 on CL.
Also use optical finders often on X2 and GXR.

Widest lens I have is a 24/3.8 and have not used a viewfinder to date. So far happy with the results of my guesstimates.
When and if I go to a wider lens then I most likely will pick up a viewfinder.

When I shoot my W-Nikkor 35/2.5 on either my Contax IIIa or, via the Amadeo adapter, on my M3, I use the 35mm metal CV finder. Works great!
