Nowadays, one on my person or in my car, one of the three in my sig. Tonight, the FED-2 will go to the movies ...

Yes, always. Since 1969. My family refers to it as my "growth." For the last few years the carry-around camera has been a 20D with a 24-85 f3.5-4.5. More recently, I've been carrying the Olympus E-PL1 with the kit lens.
I have never taken a worthwhile photograph at a time when I did not have my camera with me.

I can't carry my camera around with me all the time as I work in a school. Wouldn't go down well...
But I always have my M6 in my coat pocket whenever weather conditions allow. I always think that if an opportunity presents itself for a great photograph, I'd be very annoyed if I didn't have my camera on me...

I always have my M8 or M6 with me, no matter where I'm going.
Never know what I could come across.

I always carry my Ricoh GRD3 with me. It goes in a pocket or I hang its case from my belt. I think of it as my sketchbook. (it draws much better than I sketch though!)
But I like the fun of film & RF, so an XA is always sitting ready under my car seat and if I know I'm going out on a photo-worthy journey, I take my CL or RD1. (depends mostly on how many shots I plan to waste hehe)

yes I do, always. it's usually a Leica M4 (or M2) with a 35mm lens (1.2/35 or something) else. I also keep an olympus xa in my daily bag, so I use to have two cameras on me in university for example.

Pretty much. Only exception is when I'm heading out to theatre/movie/opera/musical in the evening. I live in walking distance from all that (some of them next door) so the chance of finding something good vs potential hustle with theatre policy ratio isn't good.

X1 or M6, or maybe the XA. Always one of them.
Of course there's the iPhone, as well, but it's cheating to count cellphones...

And when I don't have film cameras with me, I still have this.

I carry a camera with me everywhere I go. It's gotten to the point that on the rare occasions when I don't carry a camera, people who know me comment on it. I usually wear it with the strap around my neck. Makes me look like a tourist but at my age I don't care, and it's very handy and accessible that way. I look on my camera as a form of jewelry. My current favorites are my Nikon F100 and my Kiev 4am. I also bring a Nikon N80, a Bessa R, a Canon AE1 and very occasionally my Yashica MAT 124G. All of them go one the handy strap around my neck. I have tried carrying them on the over-the-shoulder method, but I've had too many close calls when the strap slips off.
A lot of times I don't find anything much on casual strolls, but if I look carefully, I can always make a picture; they're not award winners, certainly, but acceptable pictures, for me.
I suppose it's a mild form of lunacy, but then, we all have our lunacies, and carrying a camera everywhere I go is mine.
With best regards,
Pfreddee(Stephen)

Does anyone here ALWAYS have a camera with them? (I'm talking about a proper camera, not an iPhone or cellphone.)
I always have my GF1 with me. For many, that's real enough as a camera.

Nope. I can live with the odd missed opportunities.

Pretty much always. I have a briefcase for work to carry a camera, and even going out in town to buy milk or whatever, I bring a camera. It changes over time, but lately it could be an OM 1, OM 2, Nikkormat, or Nikon 8008, each with a 50mm lens. Sometimes I'll add a 28 as well. Just today I went to the grocery store, took an OM 1, and took a picture of a dog sitting in a car beside my car in the parking lot.

1 Beater F3... too heavy, too big so I sold it
2. Canonet QL-17... couldn't focus it (operator error I'm sure), I sold it
3. Zeiss ZM... perfect except cell phones killed film so it had to go
4. D200 with a prime... way too big and way too heavy, this lasted 3 days then it went back on the self.
5. LUMIX G1 with 20/1.7... barely acceptable, but I really don't like micro 4/3... too many pixels per square mm. However the 20/1.7 lens is a joy.
6. Next... who know? But I'm ready for a change. I don't trust or respect Leica (purely subjective and possibly irrational decision on my part) so I will never own a M8, M9 or any digital camera they make. Maybe I should try lugging the D200 around again.
I have a camera with me ~97% of the time.
For a bag I bought a simple, small Eddie Bauer bag three years ago and added padding to the bottom. It has several compartments and I use it as a combined man-purse and camera bag.

Carry it about 90% of the time. Of that 90% find I actually shoot "something" about 90% of the time...sometimes one click, sometimes one hundred. Ya never know.
