I cannot see that I have cut off substantial parts of your opinion. Quoting the whole post my opinion does not differ.
And I still believe that if the "the choice of weapons" influences your aesthetics you lost control over the process of picture taking.
The question of "value" is secondary, but if you let the cameras influence your results, the question of quality comes automatically in a way that you will say one day that camera X makes better Y- pictures than camera Z can do that.
And IMHO we should strictly keep away from such nonsense. For the reasons I mentioned already.
If you would focus your statement on FORMATS btw, this would be a discussable question for me. Not cameras in general tho.
