I'd give it a hit with my 1a and I'd be fairly confident the camera would still work ... not so sure about that fragile little digicam though! 😀

You're quite right indeed. But the Leica X1 is going to cost 2000 USD, that's a lot of money for a compact camera, it better give awesome output image qualities to justify this price...
