It was fine earlier but did slow down earlier this evening and then seemed to go completely off for about 45 mins. There does seem to have been a problem but I am not in the loop to know what it was yet.

It's a lot quicker now - earlier today I could make a brew while a thread was loading 😱
It's been VERY SLOW all day, with the return of the RANDOM GALLERY.

It varies. It was real slow earlier, and seems better now. It is likely load related, as in how many of us are hitting the server at any given point.

Yes, it's been full of issues (sorry..."features") since yesterday: disappearing Classifieds section, non-random Random Galleries, thread view counts reset to number of posts.

Its been intermittently running terribly slowly since yeasterday. This morning I tired a simple post and waited 10 minutes without success. Then it seems to run reasonably OK for a while before falling over again.

Two very important submarine telecommunication cables snapped in the Mediterranean a few days ago, this created a very big loss of bandwidth in the countries of the Gulf and in India. Bandwidth from trans pacific cables, linking the US to Asia, was redirected to the affected countries. This might explain the slow speed (or not).
But I guess it is more likely due to the gallery.

Not sure if this would explain the slowness I witnessed in the Pacific Northwest (Seattle) this afternoon! 🙄meven said:
