Dusted off my GTN

Hi all,

So a couple of years ago I bought a GTN 45mm F1.7 and have not really usd it much.
I have been shooting mainly digital with a D30 and kinda lost my passion for film and B&W. At a friend's urging I dusted it off and have ran a couple of rolls through it.

I'm VERY impressed...

I bought the camera for only $45 and man does it take nice shots!

I've attached a couple.

Friends say they are much better than my digital shots at the same event.

I'm amazed at the camera.

I notice you are in Budapest. There must be great subjects to photograph there. My fiance is from Hungary and it looks lik a beautiful.

In the first picture, Brandon, more than in the second, the meter was fooled by the relatively bright background. You must work on your re-discovery.

I assume you mean the blown out whites in the background?
Should I have stopped down for this shot?

You could have opened up a stop or two, Brandon: some of the faces are in shadow. There's no way you can get both the faces and the light background within the range of the film.
