Legendary 🏆
Lovely pictures and a gorgeous combination with the black LTL. Sorry to hijack but do you know any links on disassembling the radioactive Pancolar. I got one but had it shipped to a family address so couldn't check it quickly. When I finally picked it up the focus was way off on any of my M42 SLRs; hard infinity actually focusses at about 5m and visually focussing at 2m gives almost 3m on the scale. I have worked on the later 50/1.8 and focus is adjusted with two counterrotating rings and I assume it is similar, but I'd quite like to see someone working on this lens before I give it a go. Thanks.Be it GAS or pictures - film or digital, let's post here some lovely pictures of East German lenses or pictures taken with them.

I don't think I can help you. This version of Pancolar is notoriously over- engineered and eventually I sent mine to Luton cameras to deal with it.Lovely pictures and a gorgeous combination with the black LTL. Random Guy at Oceanside by Jim Fischer, on FlickrThese cameras were usually sold with the Pancolar 55f/1.4Although it is a lens appreciation thread, I'd like to praise this machine - in my eyes this is the best ever SLR made in East Germany. And of course, Zeiss Jena Distagon 20/2.8 goes well with this camera...
Well, it sits in my shelf unused from 2022, I need to go out and shoot shoot shoot...

I’d love to add this Pancolar to my collection, but today the price of this lens is quite high, to put it politely…These cameras were usually sold with the Pancolar 55f/1.4

Mine (EE2) seems to expose correctly but the shutter speeds displayed in the viewfinder are erratic. Is it possible to calibrate the displayed shutter speed?![]()

Jena Pancolar Electric 1.8 on Praktica EE2. This camera has a unique auto exposure system that uses an Led circuit to store the exposure value during exposure, to determine the shutter speed. Hard to calibrate, but fun to use!
