I just got my roll of KB25 back from dr5 in denver yesterday, threw it in the projector and ooh'ed and ahh'ed at the pictures on there, then went to Sam's Club and had them scanned.
I have a new favorite film for sure. I love the tones and the way it renders colors, not sure how the look when processed with dr5's positive process compares to a standard B&W developer though. It's the sharpest film I've used, and I love the very small but pleasing grain.
I shot it the morning after a snowstorm, in soft light without much color, and it seemed to handle that very well. I only got part of the roll scanned, and I didn't edit all of those yet, so here are a few:
The scans aren't anything special, so they don't look as good on the screen as they do projected (even with a pretty cheap projector, I can't imagine how good it would look using a projector with a much more even bulb and sharper lens, with a good screen and completely dark room)
If anyone has been wanting to try this film, DO IT! Consider sending it to dr5 for processing too, they do a really good job even if it's a little expensive ($13.75 plus $2 if you want them mounted, and I don't trust the USPS anymore so I paid a bit for fed-ex shipping and a box)
I'm buying at least 10 rolls as soon as I get paid, along with some Velvia, TMAX 100, Tri-X and Kodachrome

I agree. Efke25 does well in dr5. Below example in dr5 developer 2.

I'll try some of that stuff. What fixer do you use for processing the efke? I have some Ilford Rapid fixer now, but it doesn't have hardener which Freestyle says you should use.
The sepia tone looks good, I'll have to try that.

I personaly process this film in my own reversal process . My results are very fine too . On your pictures the dmax is a little bit low ? no ? the blacks look a bit grey .
Don't you think the pictures with daylight outdoor are a little bit flat ?
I've exactly same results (low dmax and low contrast with dayligth)
The picture in dev 2 is famous ! This is done with a second dev based on thiouréa .

I'm wondering if others have used DR5. i tried it several years ago an also found the results somewhat underexposed -- even though I used their recommended EI. Others?
