Just bought one and could use some advice/tips etc what film do you guys recommend and basically how to use it all together this is my first RF and yashica
From my experience with the Yashica Electro 35 GSN:
1) Check for the Yashicaguy website, you will find a lot of technical and practical information there
2)Batteries: You have to choose either an adaptor or a less expensive solution http://public.fotki.com/BlueWind/yashica/yashica2.html
3) Film: I use mostly black & white film, from 50 to 200 ISO. I recommend sticking to one film speed (B&W or colour) for the first rolls until you understand what you can get from the camera - and you can get a lot, it is a fine camera.
Not much more to say, the rest is up to you. With batteries & film, eyes & brain, you have all for making nice pictures.
Regards
Joao
I also bought me a Batteryadapter at ebay and checked the Camera for known Mistakes. And I think mine is in a pretty good Condition. I only cleaned and lined up the ASA Setting Wheel, then I loaded it with a cheap Discounter Fuji 200 ASA Film. Now I'm gonna go out, take some Shots and practice the Handling of the GSN. And when I shot some Rolls and I know the Camera better I'll load it with some nice BW400CN.
