25 March 2019 Eliza , my wife was diagnosed with neck cancer .
An operation followed and somewhat later , some residual cells led to radiotherapy .
She recently received what is essentially the all clear , but whenever do we really know .
i kept going to London with my camera around the hospital .More recently , before lockdown travelling to London for radiotherapy appointments .
Again my camera recorded the journeys from the top deck of the bus - taken from the terminus on front seats , night and day .
Indeed ,if at home , I would be disturbed all the time .
Had not realised how wound up I was until the cloud suddenly lifted .
I don't know if the camera prevented me from dwelling on the possibilities , or even that I should gain respite during this agonising period for her .
Reading about Roger Hicks brought home to me how fortunate we are for another chance .

Today , I opened a brand new Fujifilm X-Pro2 , the X-Pro1 and X-T 1 , safe whilst
I began to recycle cameras etc through e-bay for the X-Pro2 fund !
I guess it's a kind of celebration of recovery .

I had a mpb price for the M8 to cover the outlay , which was the reason for wishing for an x-Pro1 which would actually focus .
However , Eliza disallowed that , so I am left with bit of a hole to fill !

It's a bit crazy at 73 as the Xp2 is way beyond my modest capabilities , especially as we are really locked in with Eliza's continuing concerns .
It's all about the handling and experience , especially that OVF !
I thought that the SLR styled X-T1 would be my thing , but the X-P1just works for me .

It just takes ages to photograph cameras - too shiny for AF? - and old toys , downloading ,
Making suer that the pics line up with the correct description etc etc .
But even now , it keeps my mind of everything .
Respect
