Beautiful photo. Lovely subjects.
You mean, you shot and developed and printed in one day?

Vincent,
I fully agreed with you, the consistent quality in Erik's photos always impressed me. I hope one day his work will find its way into an exhibition / books.
Helen,
Thank you for the nice words.
Pepe,
I mean I shot, developed and scan between 6PM and midnight last night
Thanks!

Agreed Vincent. I have to believe that with Erik, it's got very little to do with the lens.
There are a few others who post in this thread, and in the SA and 35/1.4 pre-asph thread that are in the same boat (Giulio, Helen, and yourself come immediately to mind) . Master craftsmen with any tools.

I'm torn on this lens; I love my 50 'cron, too, so it seems like overkill to have this AND the other. Still, haven't managed to bring myself to sell it yet...
Stop worrying. I have the Collapsible Summicron; the Dual-Range Summicron; the black 11817 1969-1979 Summicron; and I'm sorry I sold my Elmar. I'm thinking of getting another. You are just getting started.

Yeah...the last time I spoke with Tom A. he was suggesting that the lens was discontinued primarily because it was making a huge dent in Summicron sales. Tom had so much praise for this lens.

Hello Giulio, really like your shots with the Elmar. What are your impressions of the 50mm Elmar and how do you think it compares to your other Leica lenses? Thanks.
