Pierre get my snorkle
We always had this photo around the house. It's my dad's engagement photo. I always thought it was a fairly nice portrait of someone who didn't like their picture taken.
My father passed away in 2004 and last year we moved my mother into a retirement home. While cleaning out the basement I found a lodestone of family pictures I've been scanning. In amongst the boxes I discovered a box of pictures from my grandparents. In amongst these (I found a signed Karsh 8x10 also) were these two other versions. The first I like.
The second I REALLY like
I apologize for the fuzziness of the scan but they were printed on textured paper.
I showed them to my mom and she smiled and mentioned that they were taken by a friend of dad's, Ted Grant. She thought he was a rather well known landscape photographer - LOL!
I'm getting the originals mounted together.
